THE ROLE
We are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist that is responsible for fostering a positive workplace environment by resolving employee relations issues, promoting effective communication, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations. This role is key to maintaining a productive relationship between employees and management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace issues, concerns, and conflicts.
• Provide coaching to managers and supervisors on employee performance management, handling difficult conversations, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Provide guidance and support on conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and fairness.
• Promote positive employee relations and engagement through proactive programs and initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, childcare regulations and labor laws.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations of employee complaints.
• Document findings and provide reports with recommendations for resolution to Senior Employee & Labor Relations Manager.
• Support in the preparation of termination and separation processes as directed.
• Ensure effective communication between employees and management to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts.
• Foster a culture of respect, ensuring that employees feel heard and supported.
• Ensure confidentiality and neutrality.
SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Advanced expertise in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Skilled in managing complex employee issues, including negotiation and mediation.
